EZCheck works to protect your personal information from loss, misuse or unauthorized alteration by using industry-recognized security safeguards.  We use both internal and external resources to review our security procedures. Our employees are trained and required to safeguard your information and, using physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, we restrict access to personal information to those employees and agents for business purposes only. Additionally, we use internal and external resources to review the adequacy of our security procedures.

We tell you how we use your information

When we ask you for information, we will tell you, or it will be clear, what we need to know to fulfill your request and how the information you provide us will be used.  For example, if you order a product or register for a service from us, we will ask you for your name and contact information such as, mailing address, phone number, and e-mail address.  In addition to responding to your request, we may use your contact information to tell you about products or services we think might interest you or to invite you to participate in a product or service-related survey.

The products and services offered by EZCheck, enable you to accept payment by check or account information from your customers by phone, mail, in-person, or online. To use these services your company must apply for a merchant account. To apply for a merchant service, you will be required to supply both business and personal information, including: business name, EIN, telephone numbers, owner's name(s), addresses, phone numbers and social security numbers. This information is used for making a credit decision on your application.

We tell you about our relationships with third parties

EZCheck has limited relationships with third parties to assist us in servicing you, for example, by fulfilling customer orders or providing processing services. These service providers are contractually required to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide them. Additionally, we have business partners that provide services, some of which are co-branded. We clearly identify partner services and sites. When you request any of these products or services, you are permitting us to provide your personal information to the partner to fulfill your request. We may disclose your information if we are required to by a law enforcement action such as a court order, subpoena or search warrant, or as part of fraud prevention or debt collection.

EZCheck enters into contracts with third parties who assist us in servicing you. The contracts outline the appropriate use and handling of your information and prohibit third parties from using any of your personal information for purposes unrelated to the product or service for which they've been contracted. Vendors are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information we provide to them.

EZCheck may disclose or report personal information in limited circumstances where we believe in good faith that disclosure is required under the law. For example, we may be required to disclose personal information to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authorities, to comply with a legal process such as a court order, subpoena, search warrant, or a law enforcement request.

EZCheck may report and share information about your account(s) to credit bureaus and consumer reporting agencies. Late payments, missed payments, or other defaults on your account(s) may be reflected in your credit report and/or consumer report. We may also share information with other companies, lawyers, credit bureaus, agents, government agencies and card associations in connection with issues related to fraud, credit or debt collection.

EZCheck may enter into marketing service relationships with carefully selected third parties who may offer EZCheck products or services to you. When we do, these relationships are prohibited from using any of your personal information for anything outside the scope of the marketing service program, unless you choose to give your information to these third parties or become their customer. EZCheck does not control the information policies or practices of these third parties, therefore you should review their privacy policies to learn more about how they collect and use personal information.
